About us

About us

Holsworthy Preschool is a not-for-profit provider of early childhood education, funded by the Department of Education and Communities. Our Curriculum is provided to children between 3 and 6 years of age, with our hours of operation from 8.15am - 3.45pm during NSW school terms.

Parental participation is at the heart of everything we do, the preschool itself being run by the parent management committee, made up of members of the school community and an approved legal representative of the Department of Education and Communities.

Katie/ECT

I have worked in Early Years education for over 20 years, I’m an Early Childhood Teacher with a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Teaching. I love building relationships with children and supporting their learning through a wide range of experiences but especially art, literacy and sensory play that incorporates numeracy and developmental skills that ignite the children’s interest in learning. I believe the Early Years are so important in a child’s development and that it should be built on a foundation of learning through play and following the children’s own interests. I also feel that positive relationships with both children and parents are key to successful outcomes.

“It has been an absolute pleasure having our son attend your preschool and we cannot thank you and all the staff enough for supporting him on his journey and helping him develop in so many key areas. He will take these new and improved skills with him and continue to develop them further in preparation for big school next year. We wish you all the best in the future and you will all be missed by our family. We have enjoyed being part of the Holsworthy Preschool community. Keep up the great work.”
